Martha Nored
Coming from a family of eight, I have many good memories to draw on for stories and poems. I first became interested in writing poems just before my dad’s birthday. Inspired by a fellow teacher’s story, I began to think that I would try writing poems. It turned out to be my Dad’s last birthday and the beginning of my writing poetry interest. It was like I had opened a flood gate and morphed into another sphere.
As an elementary school teacher. I loved using poetry with the children. Retiring after twenty-two years, I continue writing. I also am interested in doing more story writing.
I was privileged to work with three other ladies teaching Bible at the Collin County jail. It was a rewarding activity. Sharing poems with those ladies in the jail was a privilege as it was a unique way to share while teaching at the same time.
Let’s Start Talking was a mission trip that Lynn and I did together. It broadened our outlook as we went to Europe and many Eastern countries. We oversaw our LST workers and communicated with the people at their location
We both retired in 2002 to our 25 acres in Mckinney, TX. We enjoy gardening and working on “The Place.”
Words to keep us going whenever the going is tough!!
Thank you, Martha.
Thank you!
